We are seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to lead strategic marketing and pursuit efforts for the Aviation and Transportation sector. Comprised of excellent communicators and enthusiastic problem-solvers, our marketers are committed to internal client service, poised under the pressure of deadlines, and have a solutions-focused, flexible attitude.

 

This position requires a strong, compassionate, and proactive leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and approaches work with both flexibility and rigor. Working closely with sector leaders, the ideal candidate is passionate about the industry, enjoys learning and knowledge sharing, and has exceptional organizational and time management skills. With a keen eye for visual communications, you'll be a brand advocate and play a vital role in protecting and implementing brand guidelines. This position will report directly to the Marketing Director and will lead a group of sector-specialized marketers, managing their workload, assessing their performance, and supporting their growth.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding of the aviation marketplace and collaborates with sector leadership to develop a market strategy that is implemented effectively in pursuits and marketing efforts.
  • Engages in recurring business development and strategy meetings for the sector.
  • Serves as an effective leader and mentor by providing regular feedback and conducting annual performance review conversations.
  • Assigns and manages marketing workload for the Aviation & Transportation sector.
  • Partners with senior studio members and other marketers, leading the coordination and production of RFQ/P responses, presentation development, award submissions, and other marketing material to support brand building and business development efforts. 
  • Performs client and market research and competitor analysis to develop custom approaches that support the team’s strategic advantage.
  • Leads kickoff meetings with project leadership to define strategy for pursuit deliverables.
  • Coordinates large and complex teams of internal employees, outside partners/consultants, and key stakeholders to define key differentiators, identifying and collecting information to support pursuit needs.
  • Facilitates interview presentation run-throughs with pursuit team, sharing feedback and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Effectively communicates the brand through development of custom visual and written content that demonstrates an understanding of the industry and a passion for design excellence.
  • Effectively prioritizes competing deadlines, maintaining communication with all stakeholders.
  • Partners with the Communications team to identify and/or support opportunities for project story development, thought leadership articles, media pitches, and social posts.
  • Regularly maintains and updates CRM data, SharePoint resource library content, and OpenAsset digital assets (e.g., photography, renderings, plans).
  • Prioritizes team and firm culture embracing various forms of connection and engagement.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in the A/E/C industry and work in Aviation is highly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, primarily InDesign, as well as PowerPoint.
  • A comprehensive understanding of complex procurement processes and requirements.
  • Confidence in leading conversations with senior studio members, comfortable offering ideas, providing feedback, and presenting work.
  • Effective mentor and people builder, providing feedback that supports growth and development.
  • Working within a strong brand, adhering to brand guidelines and established processes.
  • Creative problem-solving and the ability to be resourceful and work collaboratively.
  • Excels in relationship building and collaboration, functioning as an integrated team member.
  • Highly skilled in both verbal and written communication with a dedication to client service.
  • Thrives in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Impeccable organizational and time management skills.
  • Effectively working with partners in-person and virtually across multiple time zones.
